Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of Jeffrey A. Dillard, Injures Three

A motorcycle crash that took place late last week resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another three. On Monday, July 27, Aurora police confirmed that none of the injured persons was in a critical condition.

The fatal accident itself occurred on Friday, July 24. It involved a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV. The motorcycle rider was identified by the authorities as Jeffrey A. Dillard aged 31.

Dillard was traveling southbound on the Lake Street when the incident occurred. At the intersection right in front of the Northgate Shopping Center, a Jeep Cherokee turned into the path of Dillard’s motorcycle. This caused the motorcycle to crash into the Jeep at a high speed.

The incident occurred late at night and was reported to the authorities at around 11:30 p.m. Jeffrey A. Dillard sustained critical injuries in the collision. A large number of people gathered up around the crash site following the incident. Police had to disperse the crowd before attempts could be made to rescue the affected individuals.

Once the paramedics arrived, Dillard was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The SUV had rolled onto its roof due to the sheer impact of the collision. It had three occupants in it at the time of the collision. Of these, two had been released from the hospital as of Monday while the third individual was reported to be in stable condition.

Aurora Police Department continues to investigate the incident. At this time, the police are trying to figure out how the incident occurred. Subsequent accident reports may reveal if any formal charges or citations are issued in the case.
