Truck Accident in Streamwood Kills Pedestrian


A truck accident that took place on Wednesday, March 25, resulted in the death of one pedestrian. The incident took place in Streamwood.

According to the details shared by the Streamwood police, the incident occurred close to the Streamwood Boulevard and South Bartlett Road intersection. It happened on the 500 block of the South Bartlett Road. Investigations by the local police reveal that the pedestrian was hit while crossing the roadway by a southbound truck.

Authorities were notified of the incident on Wednesday afternoon. The male pedestrian who was the victim of the incident sustained critical injuries in the collision. Once the time EMS and rescue personnel arrived on the scene, attempts were made to revive the man. He was then transported to the St. Alexius Medical Center for emergency treatment. However, he couldn’t recover and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identity of the victim has not been revealed yet. Authorities are in the process of notifying the family. Once the family is notified, the police are likely to share details of the victim.

In addition to the Streamwood police, a number of other agencies and departments responded to the incident. These include Streamwood Fire Department among others.

The crash is still under investigation and the authorities are yet to determine who was at fault in the crash. The driver of the truck involved in the crash sustained no injuries.
