Thomas Zeal Injured in Warren Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist injured over the weekend after crashing his bike while speeding along a highway in Warren, Illinois, would require the services of a motorcycle attorney. The accident played out at night on Sunday, June 7.

The Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Office divulged in a press release that the occurrence involved a single motorcycle on Cole Street. Witnesses notified the county sheriff’s office of the solo crash at about 8:52 p.m.

Responding officers gathered that the victim, 62-year-old Thomas Zeal of Monticello, was traveling northbound on Cole Street in a 2006 Honda motorcycle. For reasons yet to be established, the motorcycle rider crossed the center divider into the southbound lanes at a high rate of speed. The motorbike then skidded into a ditch and capsized, ejecting the motorcyclist in the process.

Zeal suffered multiple severe injuries in the traffic wreck, and medics found him in critical condition. A helicopter flew the victim to UW-Madison Hospital for treatment. The details of his condition are not available at this time. Zeal was reportedly the only one involved in the crash.

Sheriff’s deputies believe speed played a role in the motorcycle wreck. They cited Zeal for failure to reduce his speed to avoid an accident. The reports failed to ascertain whether the rider was using protective gear when the accident happened.

Victims of motorcycle accidents need to get in touch with a motorcycle attorney who could review the case and determine the next line of action.
