Christine Moore Dies of Blunt Force Injuries in Motorcycle Crash

The Las Vegas woman who died on Sunday after she crashed her motorcycle in the southwest valley has been named.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office has revealed that she is 37-year-old Christine Moore.

Police responded to the crash around 2 p.m.

She died as a result of multiple blunt force injuries and the Clark County coroner’s office ruled her death an accident.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Moore was ejected from her 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle and thrown into a palm tree after she hit a curb on Tenaya Way. She ended up in the middle of the street.

What caused Moore to leave the roadway has not been made public.

The crash occurred south of Ayers Rock Drive, between the Warm Springs and Robindale roads.

Christine Moore was taken to University Medical Center for treatment but she was pronounced dead just before 4:20 p.m. on Sunday.

As police investigated the crash, the intersection of Tenaya and Robindale was closed for several hours.

This was the 23rd road fatality recorded by Las Vegas police for the year so far.

Last year, the Nevada Department of Public Safety revealed that motorcycle fatalities in Clark County were on the increase. Up to August 2019, there had been 24 fatalities, a 15 percent increase over the same period the previous year.

It’s estimated that around 5,000 motorcyclist fatalities annually across the country while 90,000 bikers suffer injuries.
