21-Year-Old Michael Aulds Killed in Road incident

A University of Mississippi student who had just completed his junior year died on his way home on Friday.

He is 21-year-old John Michael Aulds of Archer City, Texas.

There are no accident reports online about exactly where the accident occurred or how it happened.

There is also no readily available information about the vehicles involved or if any other people were hurt or killed.

Instead, news about Aulds’ passing came from his family and friends. They shared their memories of him over the weekend.

A celebration of his life was scheduled to take place on Wednesday at First Baptist Church.

At University, Aulds was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and he was serving as their Pledge Trainer up to the time of his death.

On its Facebook page, Sigma Chi described Aulds as a great friend who was loyal, accountable, and intelligent.

These were similar sentiments to those expressed by his friends, girlfriend, and relatives.

Cousin Ryan Laudermill remembered how Aulds could bring joy to a room while sibling Abby Aulds recalled how Aulds helped her to get settled in college.

Girlfriend Courtney Zeidner said she was grateful she had the opportunity to love the young man.

Aulds’ relatives and friends said he had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. When he was 12, he launched a lawn care and firewood company.

The family said it never wanted to forget Aulds’ undying love for everyone he came into contact with, his selflessness or his drive.

If details are released about how the accident occurred, the information will be provided in later updates.

Depending on what happened, the family may be able to file a wrongful death claim.
