Dorothy Nash Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Lubbock


A woman suffered fatal injuries early Sunday morning while walking along a Lubbock highway, according to authorities.

Dorothy Nash, 68, suffered fatal injuries in the wreck, which occurred in the early morning hours Sunday on East Slaton Highway, according to car accident reports. No other injuries or fatalities have been reported as a result of the incident.

Officials with the Lubbock Police Department said Nash at about 2 a.m. Sunday was walking in the 4500 block East Slaton Highway. She was struck by an eastbound vehicle, car accident reports state.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Nash was pronounced dead before she could be transported to an area hospital for treatment. Police did not say whether the other driver, who was not publicly identified, suffered any injuries.
