Joe Balderramos Dies in Solo Motorcycle Crash in Frisco

The Frisco Police Department confirmed the death of a man whose motorcycle crashed near a road intersection in Frisco, Texas. The fatal motorcycle crash occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, May 5.

In a press release, the Frisco Police Department divulged that a call alerting them of the motorcycle crash came in at about 12:30 pm. The reports confirmed that the bike man fell after colliding with a raised sidewalk in the area of Rolater Road and Handover Drive.

Investigations conducted at the scene determined that the motorcyclist was traveling on the east lanes on Rolater, towards Handover when he encountered the curb. As a result, the motorbike operator, who authorities identified as Joe Balderramos, 58, of Frisco, lost control and crashed to the ground.

Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after and transported the injured man to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries sustained. He eventually succumbed to his wounds at the health facility, and hospital personnel pronounced him dead.

The accident reports did not disclose whether or not the decedent was wearing a helmet, and other traffic protective gear designed for motorbike riders.

The Frisco Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Unit is actively investigating the incident. Investigators would try to ascertain what caused Balderramos to drive into the curb and crash his motorcycle.
