Michelle Renee Uvalle Dies Following Arlington Motorcycle Wreck

A motorcyclist who was involved in an accident in Arlington on Wednesday has died, accident reports say.

The deceased is 53-year-old Michelle Renee Uvalle.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that she died at 11:49 a.m. on Friday. She was being treated at the John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Uvalle died as a result of blunt-force injuries and officials have ruled that her death was an accident.

The collision occurred about 3:15 p.m. in the 2700 block of NW Green Oaks Boulevard at its corner with Randol Mill Road.

Arlington police said Uvalle was traveling north on Green Oaks while a passenger vehicle was heading south.

For some reason, the car turned left and became involved in a crash with the motorcycle. Uvalle was thrown from her bike, police stated.

The crash remains under investigation. Police did not identify the driver or indicate whether they would be facing charges. They also did not reveal the make or model of the vehicle.

Later accident reports may include this information.

Motorcycles are a popular mode of transport. However, motorcyclists are more vulnerable than people in cars or SUVs. They are much more likely to suffer catastrophic injuries when they get involved in a crash with a larger vehicle.

More than 500 motorcyclists die in vehicular accidents in Texas every year.  In some cases, a negligent or reckless driver is responsible for the crash. When this happens, families seek compensation with help from a Texas car accident lawyer. Survivors may be entitled to a range of damages.
