Molly Waters Hospitalized Following Major Highway Crash in Milam County

The expertise of a car injury lawyer would come in handy after a woman suffered serious bodily injury in a two-vehicle collision in Milam County, Texas. Police recorded the incident on Wednesday, May 13.

The Texas Department of Public Safety deployed troopers to a location on US 90 shortly after noon, following reports of a collision between a truck and an SUV. One of the two motorists involved ended up with major injuries.

Investigators determined that the victim, Molly Waters, 46, of Academy, was the driver and sole occupant of a 2016 Jeep SUV traveling through US 90. The woman was on the west lanes of travel when she encountered another westbound vehicle, a 2002 truck tractor semi-trailer. 65-year-old Laverne Hall, of Bryan, was behind the wheels of the big rig, which a construction zone flagman pulled over.

Police reported that Waters was unable to control her speed as she approached the semi stopped at the construction zone. The female motorist instead made a spontaneous attempt to swerve to the right to avoid a collision but was too late. The front passenger side of the SUV crashed into the right rear side of the tractor-trailer.

Responding medics found Waters severely injured. They transported her to Scott and White ER, Temple, for treatment. Hall emerged from the wreck unscathed.

Victims involved in auto collisions causing bodily harm may involve a car injury lawyer who would review the case and determine the next line of action.
