Spokane Authorities Arrest Natalia Hensz For Allegedly Stealing, Crashing Car

A woman faces multiple charges after allegedly stealing and crashing a vehicle after setting a fire to her apartment Friday in Spokane.

Natalia E. Hensz, 23, of Spokane, was arrested Saturday on multiple charges and is being held in the Spokane County Jail pending a court appearance, authorities said.

Spokane police said Hensz on Friday set fire to her apartment in the 1400 block of West Eighth Avenue and then fled the scene. Investigators on Saturday determined she had stolen a vehicle which she ultimately crashed in the 3600 block of East Pacific Avenue.

Witnesses reportedly attempted to approach Hensz after the crash, but she allegedly displayed a knife.

Hensz eventually was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of methamphetamine, tampering with a firefighting device, hit and run with property damage and first-degree arson.
