Two juveniles were transported by life flight after an accident involving three vehicles on Saturday February 22.

According to a Cpl. Joshua Hedden with Georgia State Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. on GA-11 near Joe Turner Road.

The first vehicle was a 2005 Toyota Scion XA driven by Heather Morgan, 30, of Clermont. Four juvenile passengers were riding in the vehicle.

The second vehicle was a 2004 Kia Sedona van driven by Samantha Loggins, 32, of Sautee Nacoochee. Two juvenile passengers were also in the van.

The third vehicle was a 2006 Toyota Tundra driven by Gary Olsen, 53, of Cleveland. One passenger, Tamera Olsen, 55, of Cleveland was also in this vehicle.

All three vehicles were heading north on GA-11. The Tundra was stopped and waiting to turn left. The Sedona was stopped behind the Tundra. According to Cpl. Hedden, the Toyota Scion was following too closely and, as a result, struck the Sedona in the rear. This then caused a chain reaction and the Kia struck the Tundra.

Morgan, the driver of the Scion and three juveniles in her vehicle were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. One was flown by life flight with a serious injury.

Loggins, the driver of the Sedona, and one juvenile in her vehicle were transported with minor injuries, while the other juvenile in her vehicle was transported by life flight with serious injuries.

Gary and Tamera Olsen suffered minor injuries, but were not transported. Charges are pending.
