Authorities of the West Phoenix region of the U.S. state of Arizona have been thrown into investigations following a ghastly accident involving a resident.

The victim, Anthony Fullylove, who was driving a white pickup truck, met his end around 51st and Campbell Avenues at about 2 am on Sunday, March 1. He died shortly after crashing into a power pole on the West Phoenix streets.

In a statement by the Phoenix police, it was reported that the deceased was driving through 51st Avenue in a 2016 GMC Sierra and collided with a parked Chevy Silverado on the east side of the road. The impact caused the pick-up truck to swerve out of control, and off the road, into a nearby electric pole.

Police confirmed that the driver was declared dead at the scene, and the GMC truck, with him as the only occupant, was severely damaged by the collision.

The accident victim has since been identified as Anthony Fullylove Jr, a 29-year-old resident, and was the only commuter involved in the unfortunate incident.

Investigations revealed that the deceased drove above the authorized safe speed limit, which was a contributing factor in the accident.

Also, it was reported that the 29-year-old was not wearing a seatbelt, which went against the traffic safety guidelines of the 2018 Arizona Seat Belt Law requiring all front-seat occupants in a moving vehicle to be restrained in a fitted seat belt.

In addition to the underlying discoveries, impairment was also suspected to have contributed to the accident.
