Dennis Benar Jones II Dies in Midville Hospital Following Two-Vehicle Crash


A crash involving a motorcycle and a four-wheeled vehicle on the 400 block of Murphy Street, in Midville, Georgia left a 32-year-old man dead. The evidence of the two-vehicle collision, which took place on Saturday, April 4, may have to be reviewed by an auto accident attorney to ascertain the liability.

According to the Burke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the accident following reports of a traffic collision on Murphy Street at about 6:30 pm.

Upon their arrival, police found one of the involved parties sprawled on the floor, with multiple life-threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he struggled to stay alive for hours. The crash victim succumbed to his wounds on Sunday morning, April 5.

The victim has since been identified as Dennis Benar Jones II, a 32-year-old resident of Midville.

Detectives gathered that the crash happened when a motorcycle and a four wheeler moving through the street suddenly collided head-on for reasons yet to be determined.

Authorities did not disclose whether drugs and alcohol were suspected in the incident. Also, the reports did not clarify which of the vehicles involved was being operated by the deceased prior to the tragic wreck.

The BCCD is still investigating the case to determine the cause and liability of the accident.
