A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a car in Escondido late Thursday night.
At approximately 11:50 p.m., the motorcyclist, a 45-year-old man traveling east on Grand Avenue, veered into opposing lanes and collided with a Honda Accord.
The motorcyclist died at the scene despite efforts to resuscitate him. The driver of the Accord, a 28-year-old man, was uninjured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The Accord driver was found to not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, but tests have not yet been completed on the motorcyclist.
