A mother and child, along with five others, were injured in a Granada Hills motor vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon, March 19, 2015. Although news reports were silent on the number of vehicles involved, photos distinctly showed at least a two-vehicle car crash, which occurred near 17200 Sunshine Canyon Road.

Around 2:28 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department got the emergency call, learning that one of the vehicles had flipped upside-down, leaving its roof smashed nearly flat, the helpless car accident victims trapped inside.

CRITICAL INJURIES

At least one of the people involved in this serious auto accident was critically injured and clinging to life. All were hurt and hospitalized for injuries suffered in the violent car wreck. Several were in fair condition, after obtaining emergency medical treatment for their personal injuries.

CAUSE UNDER INVESTIGATION

The cause of the injurious crash is still being investigated. It is unknown at this time whether police will attribute the accident to one or both driver’s careless driving or whether any sort of impaired driving or DUI caused the rollover accident that injured so many people.
