One woman is dead after a crash early Monday morning in Milpitas.
Two vehicles, a Toyota Highlander SUV and a Toyota Camry sedan, collided at the intersection of North Milpitas Boulevard and Jacklin Road. The driver of the Camry was killed, and the driver of the Highlander sustained minor injuries. No other people or vehicles were involved. The crash occurred shortly before 6 a.m.
Neither driver has been identified. The cause of the crash also remains unclear, and there have not yet been any arrests. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
Following the crash, roads in the surrounding areas were closed, but reopened later that day.
