George Estrada, 37, of Fontana, died in a crash with a suspected DUI driver on Friday, January 10, 2020.

Estrada was driving his white Nissan Rogue south on Sierra Avenue in Fontana late Friday night. A suspected DUI driver in a gray Mercedes-Benz C230 was traveling north in the southbound lanes. The wrong-way driver then slammed into the Rogue near Baseline Avenue.

Paramedics who responded to the head-on collision transported both Estrada and the Mercedes driver to the hospital with critical injuries. Sadly, Estrada died at a hospital early Saturday morning as a result of his injures.

The Mercedes driver remains in the hospital. Investigators have reason to suspect that the Mercedes driver was under the influence during the crash.

Estrada’s friends and family have established a GoFundMe page to raise money for his funeral. On it, they plead with people to not drink and drive.

On the GoFundMe page, Estrada is credited with founding MOVE Group Inc., a startup nonprofit dedicated to helping people heal through dance. MOVE stands for Move Our Vital Energy, and sought use movement and dance to inspire love and joy in children, the elderly, Veterans, and the homeless. The page also states that Estrada was a leader and coach for Successful Living Summit and ran several businesses.
