A motorcyclist alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol was arrested in Floyd County, Georgia after fleeing police and crashing his motorcycle into a property. The incident took place on Monday, April 27, and calls for the expertise of an experienced drunk driving attorney.

According to reports obtained from the Floyd County Jail, the suspect, while evading arrest, led police in a chase through Price Road in a motorcycle. The circumstances leading to the pursuit were, however, not revealed in the jail records.

The motorcyclist reportedly rode his motorcycle, which sported no tags, at a high rate of speed surpassing 120 miles per hour, and failed to yield to a red light. Just as the fleeing motorcyclist drove through a private Price Road property, he got thrown off his motorcycle onto the ground, picked himself up without incident, and continued his flight on foot.

Officers eventually intercepted the suspect, later identified as Joshua Danford, 27, of Rome, at 161 Price Road. Field sobriety tests conducted on him confirmed that the motorcyclist was intoxicated at the time of his arrest.

It was also discovered that Joshua Danford was driving without registration and did not have a motorcycle license.

He was booked into the Floyd County Jail with a $5700 bond, on suspicion of DUI, driving without a license, operating a vehicle with an unregistered license plate, and misdemeanor speeding.

In addition, he faces charges of felony fleeing police, obstruction of police officers, and failure to obey traffic control devices.

Anyone involved in a DUI-related crash can contact a drunk driving attorney for representation.
