Alexis Bricco Injured in LaSalle County Single-Vehicle Crash

A teenager from Marseilles suffered injuries on Tuesday, August 18th, after her vehicle overturned on the Highway. The traffic collision took place in LaSalle County, Illinois.

According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Alexis Bricco sustained serious injuries after a vehicle she was driving left the road and crashed. Bricco was traveling along the westbound lanes on North 30th Road when the car swerved towards the north edge of the roadway.

The motorist overcorrected abruptly but lost control of her vehicle. The car then crossed the center divider, into eastbound traffic, where it slammed into a ditch. The crash’s impact caused the woman’s vehicle to roll over, coming to rest on its roof.

Seneca EMS transported Bricco to Morris Hospital, where she remains under treatment. LaSalle County officers did not issue the victim a citation or ticket in connection with the crash. The reports of the car accident obtained from the LCSO affirmed that Bricco was alone in her vehicle when it crashed.

Investigators failed to establish whether drugs, alcohol, or speed contributed to the traffic wreck. These three factors account for over 50 percent of single-vehicle crashes in Illinois.

Traffic officers may issue a ticket or citation to motorists found guilty of disregarding a traffic safety regulation. In some cases, an arrest may be necessary, which could attract hefty fines, probation, or several years imprisonment. In such cases, there must be evidence of committing the crime or a probable cause.
