Illinois State Police found the body of Craig L. Boone, 39, of Belleville, Illinois, on the shoulder of St. Clair Avenue at Highway 157 in Fairview Heights. ISP found Boone at about 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2020. He was the apparent victim of a hit and run driver.

Police are searching for the vehicle that hit him. They currently do not have a description of that vehicle, except that is probably a passenger car and it has one broken headlight.
