Motorcycle Crash on Montague Road Leaves Terry Brannon Seriously Injured

Accident reports state that a man identified as Terry Brannon incurred serious injuries after a motorcycle crash at Montague Road and Pecatonica Road intersection, Illinois. The incident happened on Monday, May 25, at about 5:51 p.m.

Investigations carried out by the police revealed that the 53-year-old Brannon was riding his motorcycle east on Montague Road. He failed to negotiate a ramp while turning onto Pecatonica Road.

This caused his motorcycle to crash into the median, turning over multiple times. The rider suffered many injuries as a result. When medics arrived at the scene, they flew him to a hospital via REACT helicopter. The police officers that responded to the crash received assistance from Byron and Leaf River EMS.

Following investigations, the police determined that alcohol was a factor in the crash and charged Brannon with driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident remains under investigation.

The rate of road accidents occurring is on the increase. This shows that many motorists are not keeping to safety measures and driving safely. Every road user must do all to avoid collisions, and always be alert and vigilant at all times.

Some of the steps taken to prevent accidents from occurring include the use of seatbelts when driving and avoiding the consumption of alcohol. Other measures include avoiding driving during bad weather and restricting the use of cell phones while driving.

Accident reports show that most people involved in accidents were guilty of not practicing some of these steps. Hence, motorists must ensure that they practice safe measures, respect road laws, and drive safely at all times.
