Police Identify Jason Fields as Victim of Crash in Lubbock


Police have identified the motorcyclist in a crash that occurred in South Lubbock, Texas, on Tuesday, May 27. Accident reports state that the victim’s name is Jason Fields and that he is currently in the Lubbock hospital.

The crash, which was reported at about 9:30 PM on Tuesday, occurred near the 2500 block of University Avenue, close to 82nd Street and University intersection. Police reports state that Fields was riding a motorcycle eastbound in the 2500 block of 82nd Street while a passenger car was heading west.

The car driver, in an attempt to turn into a private drive, collided with the motorcycle, causing Fields to sustain severe injuries. Emergency Medical Services rushed to the scene of the crash and transported the victim to University Medical Center.

The driver of the passenger car, identified as Christopher Young, didn’t incur any injuries after the accident. No other information about the crash is available.

Motorcyclists must desist from riding their bikes dangerously when on the roadway. They must also avoid speeding excessively. To better protect themselves from accidents, bike riders must wear helmets whenever they set out on a journey.
