Single-Vehicle Crash in Clark County Injures Ronald King

A man sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash that occurred in Clark County on Monday, August 31. The incident took place nearly an hour after midnight and was reported to the authorities at around 1:05 a.m. The victim was identified as Ronald King, 62, of Indianapolis, Indiana as per the accident reports.

According to the details shared by the Illinois State Police, King was traveling eastbound on the Interstate 70 when he ran into the accident. Just as he was driving near the milepost 155.5, his vehicle collided with a concrete barrier. The vehicle was identified by ISP as a 2020 Grey Toyota Sienna. King was driving through a construction zone at the time.

Following the collision with the concrete barrier, King’s vehicle overturned. However, he wasn’t driving at a high speed of rate which saved him from any critical injuries.

Once the first responders arrived on the scene of the crash, King was transported to an area hospital. Latest reports from ISP suggest that his injuries were not life-threatening. The crash involved no other vehicles. King was the only occupant of the Sienna that he was driving.

The police conducted preliminary investigations into the incident. As per these investigations, King wasn’t driving carefully enough which caused the crash. Based on these findings, the police issued Ronald King a citation for improper lane usage.

Improper lane usage is a petty offense in the state of Illinois. Typical penalties include a fine of up to a maximum of $1,000 plus any court costs that may be incurred.
