The man suffered injuries in the crash, which took place on Thursday, May 7, and the Cherokee County authorities cited him on several traffic violation charges.

The Jacksonville Police Department said the motorcycle accident victim encountered the crash at about 5:37 p.m., in the 800 block of North Main Street. Authorities identified the man as Corey T. Grinkey, a 29-year-old Jacksonville resident.

They affirmed that Grinkey was the only commuter involved in the tragic motorcycle wreck. Officers responding at the scene of the crash gathered that the motorcycle operator was moving through the north travel lanes on Main Street.

For reasons yet to be established, the man lost control of his two-wheeled vehicle and got ejected forcefully before the motorbike came to rest lying on the floor. Reports obtained from the Jacksonville police divulged that the man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.

Emergency responders transported the injured motorcyclist to Passavant Area Hospital for treatment. Officers determined that the vehicle Grinkey was driving had no insurance cover in addition to several violations.

In light of the discoveries, police issued him citations on charges of operating an uninsured vehicle, and violation of classifications. The reports did not disclose the terms of Grinkey’s citation.
