The expertise of a car accident lawyer would come in handy following the death of an elderly woman who encountered a two-vehicle accident in Lubbock, Texas. Police recorded the incident on the afternoon of Sunday, May 24.

The Lubbock Police Department dispatched officers to the scene after receiving reports of an injury-crash in University Avenue, near 87th Street. The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. and involved two vehicles.

Preliminary reports showed one of the vehicles involved was a Toyota Camry, driven by an 84-year-old woman, identified as June Linker. The car was reportedly headed south on University Avenue, towards the road’s intersection. At the same time, another vehicle, a Chevrolet Camaro, with 20-year-old Ehvan Reyna behind the wheels was traveling through the north traffic lanes on University.

Just as the motorist attempted a left turn onto 87th Street, the northbound vehicle collided with the Camry, directly in front of the 8700 block of University. The impact caused the Camry to sway sideways into a power pole located off the road, in the northeast corner of the intersection.

June Linker sustained fatal injuries in the crash, and medics pronounced her dead upon their arrival. The other motorist involved, Reyna, suffered only minor injuries. She declined medical aid and transportation to a health facility.

The Lubbock Police department is investigating the cause and liability of the tragic occurrence.

Victims of traffic collisions can get in touch with a car accident lawyer in due time, for counsel and representation.
