Two people suffered injuries, and a baby died over the weekend following a two-vehicle crash in Coleman County, Texas. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, May 10, calls for the legal intervention of a car accident lawyer.

Officers of the Coleman Police Department responded to the crash shortly after receiving reports of a collision at the crossing of N. Colorado Street and the U.S. 84 by-pass. Deputies said the crash involved two vehicles and resulted in at least three casualties including Jeremy Lizenbee, 33, and Kendra Robinson, 21.

Investigators determined that one of the vehicles involved was a 2004 gray Jeep Liberty hauling a small utility trailer. The Jeep was moving through the east lanes of travel on Colorado Street, approaching its intersection with U.S 84 bypass.

At the same time, a 2017 Ford F-150 was traveling through the southbound lanes on 84 by-pass. Police said the operator of the Jeep made an unlawful entry into the intersection, running a stop signal. The move caused the vehicle to drive directly into the path of the Ford, which had the right of way at the time.

The Ford struck the Jeep, which flipped over immediately and came to rest in a barrow ditch on the side of U.S. 84. A baby and two adults traveling in the jeep at the time suffered severe injuries, and medics transported them to Coleman County Medical Center for treatment.

Hospital staff pronounced the 2-month-old child dead shortly after commencing treatment. The reports did not specify the condition of Jeremy Lizenbee and Kendra Robinson, both residents of Kerrville, Texas. The motorist operating the Ford went unscathed.

An investigation into the fatal collision is still ongoing. A car accident lawyer can help victims of traffic crashes secure maximum compensation for losses.
