Olivia Hannah Gonzalez, 20, of North Hollywood, died at some time after December 23, 2016, in an auto accident near San Luis Obispo.

Gonzalez, who had been on a road trip to Big Sur with her boyfriend, 21-year-old Brian Fernandez, apparently died when her vehicle, a Honda Civic, fell more than 325 feet down a cliff near the ocean on Highway 1.

Gonzalez’ body, which had been flung more than 15 feet from the wreckage of her car, was found by a search team shortly before 3:30 PM on Tuesday. Also found were the remains of one of her two dogs.

Brian Fernandez also remains missing, but it is believed that his body may have been flung into the ocean or else buried under the wreckage of the car. Dive crews are still searching for his remains.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, but it is believed to have been accidental.
