A woman survived a car accident on Woodruff Farm Road, Columbus, Georgia, only to be killed shortly after by an electric pole dislodged by another car crash on the other side of the road. The dire incident took place on the evening of Wednesday, March 4.

The female, whose life was claimed in the accident, was identified as a 26-year-old woman from Atlanta, Georgia, named Keisha Edwards, who was driving through the 5300 block of Woodruff Farm road prior to the car crash.

Buddy Bryan, the Coroner of Muscogee County, released a statement on the incident, confirming that Keisha’s death resulted from two consecutive accidents, including one involving her personal vehicle.

In his statement, Bryan reported that the young Atlantan was driving along Woodruff Farm Road when her vehicle had an accident. She quickly exited the car unharmed and remained on the scene. Before long, another motorist, an elderly lady, who was driving on the other side of the road, bumped into a guy wire, upsetting the mounted utility pole in the process.

The power pole broke on the victim’s side of the road and hit her unexpectedly. The 26-year-old motorist died on the scene of the accident.

No further details on the incident were released to the public. However, it was reported that the body of the deceased would be transferred to Atlanta for an autopsy.

The identity of the elderly operator of the other vehicle, which dislodged the utility pole, was withheld.
