A car accident lawyer would be needed after two victims turned up dead over the weekend following a deadly collision between two vehicles in Statesboro, Georgia. The incident took place on Sunday morning, April 26, police reported.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident was reported at about 8:30 am and involved a car and a pickup truck in the Veterans Memorial Parkway.
Troopers responded to the scene of the wreck shortly after it was called in, and discovered a severely wrecked vehicle, with three critically hurt victims.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the three victims were traveling in a car, driven by 74-year-old Elizabeth Sneed, a resident of Statesboro.
Just as the driver made to pull onto the Veterans Memorial Parkway, she ventured into the path of a moving pickup truck, which fatally t-boned the vehicle.
Elizabeth Sneed, and one of her passengers, identified as Anthony Sneed, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
A third passenger in the vehicle, whose name was not immediately disclosed, suffered life-threatening injuries and was airlifted by Air Evac to Savannah for treatment.
The reports did not ascertain whether impairment or distracted driving played a role in the tragic t-bone collision.
The deadly occurrence remains under investigation.
Victims of car accidents are encouraged to involve a car accident lawyer in the case as soon as possible. That way, the victims or their families thereof would be appropriately represented.
