GSP Identify Chad Raeford Bryant as Man who Died in Liberty County Crash

The man who died in a tragic accident in Liberty County, Georgia, has been identified by the authorities. The Georgia State Patrol on Wednesday, March 25th, released his name as Chad Raeford Bryant, 32.

The Richmond Hills resident passed away from extensive injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash. The accident occurred a little after 7 p.m. on Monday, March 23rd, on E.B. Cooper Highway.

The GSP preliminary accident report showed that Bryant was driving a 2006 Honda Civic at the time of the accident. The deceased was heading towards Riceboro when he suddenly left the roadway and crashed into several trees.

By the first responders got to the scene, Bryant was unresponsive, and they pronounced him dead. The GSP did not state if another vehicle was involved in the fatal accident, and the cause remains under investigation.

Driving at night is one of the causes of accidents, with the darkness doubling the possibility of a driver crashing his or her vehicle or into another car. Statistics have shown that 48 percent of all fatal accidents take place at night.

Another influence of night driving accidents is drivers getting behind the wheel while impaired with either drugs or alcohol. A driver’s inability to maintain his or her focus while driving also contributes.

Authorities have advised drivers to ensure they drive on familiar roads at night and are mindful of other road users. Drivers should have their headlight and beam light on and maintain the speed limit at all times.
