Jose Garcia-Trujillo

A 25-year-old male, Jose Garcia-Trujillo, would need the services of a car accident lawyer after getting arrested for killing two people in a hit-and-run accident in Atlanta, Georgia. The two victims of the crash died on the scene of the accident which happened on Monday, April 20th.

The accident occurred at around 5 a.m. in the neighborhood lanes close to Edgewood Avenue, which is north of Downtown Atlanta’s Interstate 20.

According to the police, the unidentified victims of the hit-and-run were traveling in an SUV which crashed into a wall and spun into the highway. They stepped out of their vehicle to check the extent of damage that it had suffered.

While doing this, another vehicle, driven by the suspect, Jose Garcia-Trujillo, struck both of them, killing them instantly. The suspect continued driving and never stopped. Investigators swung into action, in search of witnesses and debris from the crash site to aid in tracking down the suspect.

It wasn’t until later that morning that the suspect’s car, a Ford Explorer, which also had damage from the accident, was found, and Garcia-Trujillo arrested. The police charged him with vehicular homicide and hit-and-run, hence the car accident lawyer.

Road users should avoid stepping out of their cars after an accident or breakdown. The latter is necessary if they can’t move it to the side of the road. It is best to avoid walking around the roadway after such occurrences, as the highway is dangerous for pedestrians.
