Orlando St. Louis II Emerges Fatal Victim in Sandy Springs Hit-and-Run Crash

A car accident lawyer would come in handy after two subsequent hit-and-run crashes disabled at least two vehicles and caused a man’s death. The fatal occurrence played out on Sunday, May 10, in the Sandy Springs area of Georgia.

The Sandy Springs Police Department said the crash happened at about 11:40 a.m., close to the North Springs Marta Station ramp on Ga. 40. Authorities said it involved two back-to-back hit-and-run crashes, and the offending motorists are still at large.

According to the reports, the crash started when a dark-colored vehicle, whose driver remains unidentified, struck two other cars and fled the scene. Police said the fatal victim, Orlando St. Louis II, 23, of Roswell, was the driver of one of the struck vehicles. There were two other occupants in the car at the time.

The impact disabled the Hyundai, bringing it to a halt in the middle of the busy traffic lanes. Two motorists pulled over at the scene to help the occupants of St. Louis’ vehicle. The female motorist operating one of the cars asked the three stranded commuters to enter her vehicle to get out of harm’s way.

After the two passengers got in, the driver was on the verge of following suit when another vehicle described as a 2006 Toyota Sienna minivan approached the scene and struck St. Louis, who died almost immediately. The minivan also hit one of the parked cars. A passenger in the Toyota sustained injury.

Officers said the driver that struck the fatal victim fled the scene before police arrived. Authorities identified him as Kiara Stinner, 31, of Brunswick, Georgia. The Sandy Springs Police Department is on the lookout for the two hit-and-run drivers.

Once apprehended, Stinner would face charges of vehicular homicide, serious injury by vehicle, hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license, and reckless driving. Police did not disclose the charges on the second wanted driver.

Victims of traffic collisions can contact a car accident lawyer for representation, to ascertain they are duly compensated for damages.
