Police : Man Involved in Ga. 400 Accident Is Arthur Richard Ardeaneaux

One week after a burglary suspect engaged the cops in Dawson County, Georgia, in a chase that ended in an accident, they have released his name to the public. The police on Thursday, March 19th, announced that they identified him as Arthur Richard Ardeaneaux, 63.

The police stated that Ardeaneaux is currently facing 13 charges of thwarted burglary attempt, and police chase. He is also facing first-degree burglary, fleeing police, and obstruction, as well as driving violations.

The chain of events started on Thursday, March 12th, when the suspect broke into a home at about 3:45 p.m. The house, which is situated off Henry Grady Highway, has an alarm that alerted the owner to the break-in.

The owner of the house, whose identity is concealed, armed himself with a gun to confront the burglar. Ardeaneaux escaped from the house, and when deputies arrived at the scene, the man fled to Ga. 400 South.

The deputies gave chase until the suspect lost control of his vehicle and crashed at the intersection of Ga. 400 and Harmony Church Road. The police recovered from Ardeaneaux, the items he stole from the house, and detained him.

The man was booked into Dawson County Jail, and his bail bond was set at $25, 200. The police did not state when the man would have his court appearance.

The authorities have advised drivers always to pull over when asked to by the police. Motorists should avoid police chase and obey traffic laws.
