Pike County Crash Injures Roberta Montenegro Perrusquia

A single-vehicle accident that took place in the Pike County resulted in injuries to two persons. One of these was identified as Roberta V. Montenegro Perrusquia, 43, of Victorville, California. The incident which resulted in injuries occurred over the weekend. It was reported to the authorities early on the morning of Sunday, October 18.

According to the details shared by the authorities, the crash happened in the westbound lanes of the Interstate 72. Perrusquia was traveling westbound on the road. The vehicle she was driving at the time was identified as a Gold 2017 Freightliner semi. As she reached milepost 4, she attempted to negotiate a curve on the road.

Perrusquia failed to negotiate the curve successfully. Her vehicle left the roadway and moved to the right of the road. In a bid to bring the vehicle back on course, Perrusquia overcorrected. This made the semi lose balance, tipping over at the right side of the roadway.

Roberta V. Montenegro Perrusquia suffered injuries in the incident. Once the paramedics reached the scene of the accident, she was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Her injuries are reported as non-life threatening.

Perrusquia also had a passenger with her at the time of the accident. He was identified as Ronald R. Whalen, 49, of Palm Bay, Florida. Whalen also sustained non-critical injuries in the crash and was taken to a local hospital.

Preliminary accident reports from the ISP show that Perrusquia’s negligence contributed to the incident. For this reason, she was issued a citation for improper lane usage.
