Fatal Crash in San Antonio Claims the Life of Jovahna Ovalle

Jovahna Ovalle

In recent reports of a car accident near Downtown in San Antonio, Texas, authorities confirmed the death of a woman who drove her vehicle into a parked truck. The crash happened at dawn on Sunday, May 10.

According to the reports, the crash involved a 2016 Toyota Corolla and a 2015 Ford F-250 in the area of S. Trinity Street and Buena Vista Street. Deputies said the victim’s vehicle collided with the Ford at about 5:30 a.m.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the fatal victim, Jovahna Ovalle, was driving the Toyota through S. Trinity. For reasons yet to be established, the woman’s vehicle swayed into the opposite lanes of travel, to the side of the road where the Ford Pickup was resting.

The female motorist tragically struck the parked vehicle, causing damages to her car. When the emergency response crew arrived at the scene, they found Jovahna Ovalle unresponsive in her disabled vehicle. After trying to no avail to rescue the motorist, first responders declared her dead.

Detectives believe Ovalle did not apply the brakes before the collision, as evident in the state of the car when investigated. Officers did not record any other casualty resulting from the fatal crash.

Police are actively investigating the case to determine what caused the victim’s vehicle to drive into oncoming lanes and hit the parked truck. Commuters should endeavor to report car accidents as soon as they occur to avail the victim a better chance of survival.
