DUI Driver, Hunter Ethan Elliott, Faces Charges for Killing 2-Year-Old

A two-year-old boy was killed on Sunday night after a suspected DUI motorist hit a vehicle the boy was traveling in with his parents at a Highway intersection in Blue Gate, Georgia. The intoxicated driver, Hunter Ethan Elliott, was held liable for the tragedy and was on Monday, March 16, charged with felony and misdemeanor, involving first-degree homicide and DUI alcohol.

Four casualties were reported in the crash, three of whom have remained hospitalized with major injuries, including the drunk driver.

The fatal occurrence took place at night on Sunday, March 15. The Georgia State Patrol reported that the felon was driving a Ford Super Duty truck through an intersection when he struck a Ford Escape at an intersection.

The occupants of the Escape, including a 2-year-old and his parents, suffered severe injuries in the crash. The toddler, who has since been identified as Cohen Zayne Bryson of Rome, died from his wounds.

Investigators determined that the 23-year-old Ford driver was under the influence of alcohol and was distracted at the time of the crash.

Charges have been filed against the DUI motorist, with at least 14 warrants sworn against him, including two felony counts of injury by vehicle, one felony homicide by vehicle, and several counts of misdemeanor.

The warrants also confirmed that the toddler’s father, Joshua Bryson, was severely injured in the crash, as against the initial report from the Georgia State Patrol, which pronounced him unscathed.
